MASI Hosts Iconography Course

On November 22-24, 2013, MASI played host to an iconography workshop that was lead by SPU alumnus Fr Ivan Nahachewsky. (The Nahachewsky Family may in fact be our only “alumnus family” where not only did Fr Ivan and his wife study with us, but their daughter Sophia is currently a BTh student!) The course was intensive, beginning Friday evening and running until Sunday night. The weekend was fille with instruction, fellowship, and prayer. There was even a 2 AM session where rabbit glue was applied to the boards! Fr Ivan made the boards himself. Eleven students, some from as far away as Guelph, all wrote an icon of St John Chrysostom.
