MASIF Continues its Support of Theological Education

On December 6, 2013, Fr Andriy Chirovsky, President of the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Institute Foundation (MASIF), and Mr Eugene Cherwick, Past-President of MASIF, were present in Ottawa and presented Saint Paul University with a donation of $50,000 on the occasion of the MASIF AGM ongoing in Ottawa at this same time. This donation was given during a meeting of the MASIF-SPU Budget Advisory Committee, a body which meets to help determine the annual budget of the Sheptytsky Institute.

MASIF, a registered charity in both Canada and the United States, was established in 1989. This organization has a single purpose: to raise and manage funds to support the Sheptytsky Institute. Since 1989 it has donated some seven million dollars towards this purpose to Saint Paul University.
