The Sheptytsky Institute of Eastern Christian Studies at Saint Paul University has created a mixed choir of males and females open to anyone, from early teens to seniors. It is led by renowned conductor and musician, Maestro Uwe Lieflander, of the Sacred Music Society. The main emphasis is a liturgical repertoire in English and Ukrainian. The choir will sing locally and also hopefully in Toronto and/or Montreal once a year.
Friday evenings 7:30 to 9:00 at Saint Paul University, Main St., in the Mazenod chapel in Laframboise Hall (the main chapel on the second floor of the south building). The easiest place to park is on Clegg along the side of the building. Regular attendance at rehearsals is expected. The first
gathering was January 23. But you can still join! More information: Fr. Peter Galadza at 613-882-8272. Sign Up: email the choir administrator, Harold Visser – haroldjcvisser [at] gmail.com .
